Would You Take the Freedom Ride Today?

In 2011, Michellay Cole stepped onto a bus with 39 of her peers to retrace the 1961 Freedom Rides. Together, they traveled from Washington, D.C. to New Orleans, LA in honor of the original Freedom Riders who journeyed throughout the South to challenge Jim Crow Segregation Laws over 50 years ago. What issues would make you get on the bus today?

We want to hear what you think. Share your thoughts in the comment box below. Be honest. Be bold. Be you. However, we also ask that you be courteous. No personal digs. We want everyone to feel comfortable participating. And if you go there, we won't be afraid to take your comment off here. That simple. Now, let's talk!
