Revisit Pittsburg's struggles during the so-called golden era of civil rights, and many of the men and women who lit the way for the generations that followed.

TorchbearersThe men and women who were largely responsible for Pittsburgh’s civil rights movement are called the “Torchbearers”. In this spirit and to continue their legacy, Torchbearers is a documentary special that covers Pittsburgh’s freedom fighters: Rev. LeRoy Patrick and the integration of city pools; Alma Speed Fox on protest marches; Dr. Helen Faison and the desegregation of public schools; and Regis Bobonis, the first African-American reporter on local TV.
